Our newly created Research and Enterprise Directorate (RED) will drive positive change and significant growth across the University of Wolverhampton and through our engagement with external partners and stakeholders. As Research and Enterprise Project Delivery Officer, you will provide practical support for research and enterprise (R&E) Project Managers/leads to support and enable effective project management and delivery, maximising project success and minimising institutional risk. You will support a portfolio of R&E projects across the university, offering advice and guidance, supporting with pre-contracting, support for internal processes and systems, liaison with partners, drafting and issuing project documentation and be the point of contact for funders with project specific queries and evidence requests.
You will support on the delivery of key processes, including the due diligence process, liaising with partners to obtain information for reviews and escalating risks as necessary. You will support with the delivery of a range of regular innovative initiatives to support university wide collaboration and interdisciplinary working and deliver training on all aspects of R&E project management, linking with other teams in RED and beyond for maximum benefit and impact.
We are looking for someone with a high level of emotional intelligence who has the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels across the University to ensure quality service delivery, demonstrating political awareness, diplomacy and tact. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of supporting R&E projects alongside an excellent understanding of the priorities, rules and guidance of key R&E funders relevant to higher education; excellent problem-solving skills, with a solution focussed approach adapting to changing priorities and timescales to meet deadlines.
