Are you an experienced finance systems professional looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance financial processes at an innovative and dynamic London university? We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Deputy Finance Systems Manager to support the management and development of our finance systems, ensuring they are efficient, user-friendly and fit for the future.

As Deputy Finance Systems Manager, you will:

  1. Support the Finance Systems Manager in enhancing and maintaining the University\’s finance systems Unit4 Agresso, ensuring compliance and sector best practices.
  2. Manage system improvement projects and drive service enhancements that add real value to our stakeholders.
  3. Manage and develop a team of Finance Systems Administrators, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
  4. Act as a technical expert, providing support, training, and guidance to finance system users across the University.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including IT colleagues, to optimise financial reporting, data integrity, and system functionality.
  6. Provide key financial data and management information for internal and external reporting needs.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual with:

  1. A degree in IT, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Knowledge of Unit4 financial software and technical finance systems.
  3. Experience delivering system-related projects and optimising finance systems.
  4. An understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  5. Previous experience in managing or supervising a team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  6. The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
