Key role in embedding child-safe practices at UWA. Lead the implementation of the Child Safety Framework Action Plan. Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. Base salary range: $100,524 to $111,534 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About The Area

The Integrity and Standards Unit (ISU) is responsible for managing complaints, student discipline, integrity, and child safety. In 2025, ISU is leading an action plan to embed the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations at UWA.

About The Opportunity

  • Lead the implementation of the Child Safety Framework Action Plan, ensuring alignment with the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework and national child safety principles.
  • Develop and implement tools, training, and resources to strengthen child-safe organisational practices across UWA.
  • Support business units in auditing and enhancing their child safety frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

About You

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive project management experience (PMO), with a strong focus on developing child-safe organisations, including strategic planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing child protection policies, ensuring best practice compliance.
  • Deep understanding of child safety frameworks, including the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework, relevant legislation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including collaboration with external partners and government agencies.

Special Requirements

Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
