Overview
You will specialise in mechanical maintenance, focusing on plumbing, with flexibility to support other members of the maintenance team. You will also carry out pre-programmed inspections of mechanical installations and any associated remedial works.
Responsibilities
- Specialise in mechanical maintenance, with emphasis on plumbing; support other members of the maintenance team when required.
- Carry out pre-programmed inspections of mechanical installations and perform remedial works as needed.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and safety in all tasks.
- Work as part of a team or independently, following instructions and using your own initiative when appropriate.
- Handle tools and equipment across campus; manual handling and use of access equipment (ladders, etc.) as required.
Qualifications
- Suitably qualified plumber with experience in mechanical maintenance, plumbing repairs and installations (e.g., C&G 6161-25 Level 3 Advanced Diploma).
- Technical knowledge of current plumbing best practice techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team or alone; good communication and initiative.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and use appropriate safety equipment.
