The Head of Academic Quality and Partnerships is a strategic leader within the Academic Registry, responsible for shaping and delivering a robust academic quality framework and overseeing the management of academic partnerships. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding academic standards, enhancing the student experience, and enabling the University’s ambitions for growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for academic quality assurance and enhancement, ensuring alignment with institutional strategy, regulatory requirements, and sector best practice.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of academic quality frameworks, policies, and processes that safeguard standards while supporting innovation in learning, teaching, and assessment.
- Oversee the governance, approval, monitoring, and review of academic partnerships, ensuring that collaborative provision meets University and external regulatory expectations.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Schools, Professional Services and external stakeholders to ensure shared ownership of quality frameworks and partnerships that enable the delivery of positive outcomes for students.

The Academic Registry delivers key services that support applicants, students and staff across the University of Salford, managing essential academic processes such as student records, admissions, timetabling, data quality, and academic policy. The Registry aims to deliver a seamless, student‑centred service that operates effortlessly in the background, allowing students and staff to focus on what truly matters. The Quality Management Office supports Schools and partners to deliver high‑quality education, upholding academic standards, managing quality processes and partnerships, coordinating external engagement, and enabling educational excellence and institutional development.
