We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Graduate Sustainability Communications and Engagement Officer within the University’s Central Sustainability Office, working in partnership with Salford Students’ Union (Salford SU). This role is a chance to gain experience of working within a dynamic and impactful sustainability team delivering real change through the University Sustainability Strategy and Net Zero Carbon commitment.
Eligibility: This position is only available to recent University of Salford graduates (within the past three years) who studied a sustainability or communications related subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Sustainability Engagement Officer and wider Sustainability Office to support the delivery of events and initiatives throughout the year to engage staff and students on environmental issues.
- Assist with communication to help raise awareness, educate and influence staff and students to make more sustainable choices.
- Support colleagues in the Sustainability Office and Salford SU to identify and build links with student groups and student volunteers.
- Work alongside student volunteers to deliver successful events and activities.
