We are seeking a passionate and creative graduate to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing impartial information and guidance to prospective students nationwide.
As a Graduate Student Recruitment Assistant, you will play a vital role in representing the University at local and national events, delivering engaging presentations, and offering one-to-one guidance.
Your voice and recent student experience will be incorporated into our activities, ensuring a relevant and accessible approach.

Please note: You must have graduated from an undergraduate degree at the University of Salford in summer 2026 to be eligible for this position.

Job Description
- Represent the University at recruitment events, providing guidance and support to prospective students and their supporters.
- Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and collateral, focusing on course selection and student life.
- Incorporate recent student experience and 'voice' into recruitment activities, ensuring an authentic and engaging approach.
- Manage the central inbox and organize team activities, ensuring efficient communication and resource allocation.
- Support the delivery of campus visits and subject-specific recruitment activities, collaborating with academic colleagues.
- Participate in open days, applicant events, and Confirmation and Clearing processes during the summer.
- Set up recruitment equipment at events and manage domestic travel and overnight stays as required.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, to accommodate event commitments.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive working environment, promoting diversity and collaboration within the team.
Qualifications
- A University of Salford graduate with an undergraduate degree awarded in summer 2026.
- Keen understanding of the recruitment cycle and a passion for delivering impartial information and guidance.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate prospective students.
- Creative and innovative thinking, with the ability to develop relevant and accessible presentations and workshops.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, keeping clear records.
- Flexibility to work hybrid hours, with a customer-first approach, and willingness to work on campus during peak periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using and manipulating data for recruitment purposes.
