Salford Business School is inviting applications from outstanding academic professionals to join our growing community as a Lecturer in Financial Technology (Fin Tech). The successful candidate will be expected to teach modules related to SQL, Power BI and financial programming using Python or Java, as well as advanced topics such as corporate finance, digital assets, blockchain development, algorithmic trading, or portfolio management. We particularly welcome candidates with research interests and a record of quality publications in quantitative finance, financial biodiversity, digital asset ecosystems, or related areas of financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a range of teaching materials and modules, as well as setting, marking and assessing work.
- Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, field trips and placements.
- Extend, transform and apply knowledge acquired from scholarship to learning, research and where appropriate external activities.
- Work with colleagues from across our School to share best practice knowledge and find opportunities to collaborate to enhance the student experience.
- Promote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive and supportive study and work environment in accordance with University policy.
