Opportunity Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent University of Salford graduate (having graduated within the last 12months) to join a busy, tight-knit recruitment team. Representing the university at events including UCAS exhibitions and college fairs, both across the region and further afield, no two weeks will ever be the same for you. You’ll be a people person with an ability to communicate, engage and inspire prospective students and their supporters, and have a commitment to delivering impartial information, advice and guidance to all. You will be responsible for incorporating recent student experience and ‘voice’ into our activities and events and will develop and deliver relevant and accessible presentations and workshops. You’ll be supported to develop a range of transferable skills and will become as comfortable delivering information one-to-one as you are speaking to a school hall full of students and their supporters. You are expected to be independent and driven and, in addition to your core role, you’ll be involved in a range of other activities with the team, including supporting Open Days, Confirmation and Clearing. It’ll be a busy, varied and fun role for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- To use your own student experience to provide impartial information, advice and guidance to a wide variety of stakeholders, enabling students to make informed decisions about their future, in person, online and via presentations.
- Travel to and attend national (e.g., UCAS) exhibitions, regional and local (in-school) events and to act as the sole or lead representative of the University at them.
- To prepare and deliver accessible and engaging presentations and workshops to key audiences based around the University of Salford student experience.
- To support the team’s organisation and effectiveness by undertaking tasks such as manage freighting requests from colleagues, liaise with the freighting company and organise and distribute a range of event collateral.
