Qualifications

  • Doctorate (terminal degree) in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in mathematics or statistics, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline if holding a master’s degree.
  • Experience, competence, and teaching effectiveness in undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
  • Professional licensure or certifications, honors, continuous documented excellence in teaching, or other demonstrated competencies and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or update course syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
  • Meet all designated class periods and maintain office hours.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Submit completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations.
  • Teach undergraduate courses (or graduate courses as assigned).

This temporary part‑time position does not accrue benefits.
