Part‑Time / Adjunct Faculty; Mathematics and Statistics
Finalists will be required to provide an official transcript and will be subject to a criminal background check.
Qualifications
- Doctorate (terminal degree) in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree in mathematics or statistics, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
- Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline if holding a master’s degree.
- Experience, competence, and teaching effectiveness in undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
- Professional licensure or certifications, honors, continuous documented excellence in teaching, or other demonstrated competencies and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and/or update course syllabus.
- Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
- Meet all designated class periods and maintain office hours.
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Submit completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations.
- Teach undergraduate courses (or graduate courses as assigned). This temporary part‑time position does not accrue benefits.
