Overview
TLSE Assistant (Curriculum & Programmes) role at The University of Manchester. The School of Medical Sciences oversees a range of programmes including MBChB, GEM, undergraduate Dentistry, Physician Associate Studies, and around 27 PGT Programmes.
Role and Responsibilities
This role forms part of the School Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) team, which provides high-quality support to students on Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught programmes. It is based at the Advanced Dental Education Centre (ADEC) and delivers reception and administrative services to stakeholders for UG and PGT Dentistry programmes (students, patients, academic staff, and agency nurses). The role is embedded within the Curriculum & Programmes sub-team of TLSE and supports activities such as timetabling, committee servicing, and student enquiry management across all UG and PGT programmes. The ideal candidate will have strong digital literacy, be able to provide excellent administrative support and customer service, and remain flexible and adaptable. This is a fully on-campus role with no hybrid working.
Key duties include:
- Provide high-quality reception and administrative support for UG and PGT Dentistry programmes
- Assist with timetabling, committee servicing, and student enquiry management
- Support with activities across all UG and PGT programmes within the Curriculum & Programmes sub-team
Team and Working Environment
The role sits within the Curriculum & Programmes team, which includes: 1 Teaching & Learning Officer, 3 TLSE Coordinators, 8 TLSE Administrators, and 2 TLSE Assistants.
