Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join the Doctoral Academy which supports all postgraduate research (PGR) students in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. As part of the Doctoral Academy, the postholder will be responsible for providing support to PGR from induction through to thesis submission. This will involve progression monitoring, records management, student change of circumstances and wellbeing. It will also involve co‑ordination of activity with Doctoral Academy colleagues responsible for admissions and examination, as well as central student support services.

The successful candidate will have a customer‑focused attitude and be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including excellent attention to detail, well‑developed organisational skills with the ability to multi‑task effectively and prioritise their workload when under pressure. We expect the successful candidate to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and to operate professionally with students from a range of backgrounds.
