The School of Medical Sciences is looking to appoint a dynamic and proactive Operations Administrative Assistant who will be based within the School Office. The post holder will undertake tasks on behalf of the School and support day‑to‑day operational business needs. This role requires considerable flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks across a wide range of operational areas, enabling the delivery of a robust and efficient administrative support function across the School.

The post holder is a key administrative point of contact and will provide effective and professional liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Candidates should have experience working with administrative processes in a customer‑facing office environment, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work in a busy environment to meet deadlines. They should be constructive team players, able to work collaboratively, and flexible and responsive to customer needs, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to interact professionally.

Candidates should be able to identify problems, resolve issues effectively, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, and have digital literacy with the ability to use IT software and systems. The post holder will be aligned to the School Office but may be required to support wider operational needs across the School.
