The University of Manchester is seeking an exceptional academic leader to serve as Vice-Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. This is a strategically critical leadership role, central to delivering the University’s Manchester 2035 vision and shaping a world-leading student experience at scale.
The Role
- Lead the development and delivery of a forward-looking Teaching, Learning and Students strategy aligned to Manchester 2035
- Shape a demand-led, interdisciplinary portfolio informed by research-led curricula and digitally enabled pedagogy
- Work in partnership with students, academic leaders and Professional Services to deliver an outstanding and inclusive student experience
- Drive innovation in curriculum design and pedagogical practice, including the use of emerging technologies
- Lead portfolio review, quality assurance and regulatory compliance across all programmes
- Oversee key aspects of student experience, including appeals, complaints and fitness to practise
- Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, industry and global education organisations
