The Mortuary and Human Anatomy Teaching Laboratory in the Stopford Building are looking to appoint a term-time only (39 weeks per year, pro rata) Teaching Technician to support the provision of cadaveric specimens, models, apparatus and equipment required for the setting out of undergraduate anatomy classes and resource rooms, and to assist with cadaveric embalming for specimen preparation. The Department operates under the strict terms of its Human Tissue Authority (HTA) license, so adherence to rules is an essential attribute.

The role will involve good housekeeping to maintain high levels of cleanliness and regular handling of human cadavers and anatomical specimens for class preparation. This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking individual with an interest in working in an anatomical / mortuary environment within a busy University teaching environment.

N.B. The role is a 2-year fixed term position, pending the outcome of a review of the technical service provision across the Faculty.
