We are seeking motivated and collaborative individuals to join our team as Pre-sessional EAP Tutors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teaching to international students preparing for degree study. You will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, supporting student success on one of the UK’s largest pre-sessional programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering engaging online EAP teaching using provided syllabus and materials
  • Assessing student work, maintaining accurate records, and participating in moderation processes
  • Providing academic guidance and feedback through tutorials to support student progression
  • Completing teaching-related administration, including attendance and progress tracking
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement of the programme

Essential Criteria

  • A recognised TEFL qualification (e.g. CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching English, including online teaching experience
  • Strong communication skills with a student-centred teaching approach
  • Ability to use digital tools and technologies to support teaching and learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience teaching EAP or pre-sessional courses in Higher Education
  • A higher-level TEFL qualification (e.g. DELTA, DipTESOL, MA TESOL/EAP)
  • Experience with VLE platforms (e.g. Canvas) and online delivery tools
  • Knowledge of international student learning needs in UK Higher Education
