We’re excited to be recruiting a dynamic and motivated Head of Postgraduate Careers to join our team at The University of Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a world‑leading institution known for its collaborative, forward‑thinking culture.
The Postgraduate Careers Service is a specialist, dedicated careers service providing high quality careers guidance and market engagement for our postgraduate students within a top 50 globally ranked Business School. Reporting to the Partnerships Director, the Head of Postgraduate Careers is a senior, highly visible professional services leadership role within the school.
You will lead a world class careers operation supporting a diverse group of professionals from across the world as they seek to develop their careers and achieve their goals. This includes students on our full time MBA programme which is consistently ranked in the top 50 in the world, along with our range of MSc programmes and our part time (global) MBAs based across our international centres.
In addition, you will lead on strategic engagement with a wide range of external organisations, developing long term relationships that open up opportunities for projects, internships and full time hiring. As well as core careers offering, the department is responsible for the delivery of a suite of live, client facing projects on the full time MBA programme which sit at the very heart of their student experience as well as their academic and professional development.
You will also represent the service at senior levels within the School and wider institution developing relationships with academic and professional services (PS) colleagues and making a contribution to the School’s wider development and strategic goals.
