Are you a highly motivated and experienced public affairs professional looking to make an impact? The University of Manchester is seeking a Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy@Manchester team. Working to support the Head of Public Affairs, you will identify new opportunities to reach and influence decision makers through impactful projects and campaigns that support the University’s objectives, including our new 10-year strategy, Manchester 2035.

You will use your knowledge of government affairs to navigate the challenges faced by universities and the higher education sector – including issues impacting our staff and students, teaching, research, and our civic community. Your targeted collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will help you plan campaigns, and using your excellent written and oral communication skills, you will be able to guide thought leadership.
