We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry / Adult Dental Care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality undergraduate teaching across the BDS and BSc programmes within a leading dental school. Responsibilities

  • Delivering teaching and clinical supervision in Restorative Dentistry and Adult Dental Care for undergraduate students
  • Supporting student assessment, feedback, and progression, including examinations and performance review
  • Contributing to curriculum development, enhancement, and quality assurance activities
  • Recording and supervising clinical activities within electronic patient records
  • Participating in administrative duties, student engagement, and collaborative academic activities

About You

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You should demonstrate:

Essential Criteria

  • BDS (or equivalent) and current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Proven clinical experience in restorative dentistry
  • Experience of teaching or supporting student learning in a clinical or academic setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of collaborative working
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and an academic career in dental education

Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA, SFHEA)
  • Experience supervising undergraduate or postgraduate students
