The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to lead and oversee the BDS Programme. This will include chairing meetings, curriculum, programme and assessment delivery, attendance at University meetings and external meetings as needed in consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry (DUMD).
Work with the DUMD and the wider programme team to develop and refine content and delivery of our BDS and BSc programmes, ensuring that they remain dynamic, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of dental education, while also meeting the requirements of our programme specification and GDC regulations.
Support the team to maintain a student-centric focus aimed at championing student success by providing dedicated support, responding to feedback, and fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
The successful candidate will be managerially and academically responsible to the University of Manchester, and specifically to the Head of the Division of Dentistry and the Director of Medical and Dental Studies.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the BDS Programme, including chairing meetings and supervising curriculum, programme and assessment delivery.
- Attend University meetings and external meetings as needed in consultation with the DUMD.
- Collaborate with the DUMD and the wider programme team to develop and refine content and delivery of the BDS and BSc programmes.
- Ensure programmes remain dynamic, relevant, and responsive to evolving dental education needs while meeting programme specifications and GDC regulations.
- Promote a student-centric focus, provide dedicated support, respond to feedback, and foster an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
- Report managerially and academically to the University of Manchester, specifically to the Head of the Division of Dentistry and the Director of Medical and Dental Studies.
