Lead the future of enterprise technology at The University of Manchester.
We're looking for a senior digital leader to shape and oversee the University's core business platforms, including Finance, HR, CRM and service management systems. You'll drive platform strategy, governance, supplier partnerships and continuous improvement, ensuring our technology estate supports the University's ambitions and delivers lasting value.
This is a visible leadership role with real institutional reach. You will work with senior stakeholders across Professional Services, Faculties, IT Services and external partners to simplify complexity, improve service resilience and build the digital foundations needed for Manchester 2035.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and roadmap for enterprise platforms.
- Simplify, optimise and modernise core business systems.
- Establish clear governance, ownership and accountability.
- Manage strategic suppliers and technology partners.
- Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
- Work with senior leaders to drive institution-wide change.
- Ensure platform investment delivers measurable value for staff, students and services.
About You
- Significant experience leading enterprise-scale digital platforms, technology services or business systems.
- Experience operating at a senior leadership level in a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of governance, product management and service improvement.
- A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading change.
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
