About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic alumni relations function in a global engagement team. You’ll focus on building successful alumni communities overseas, generating warm engagement, and harnessing the willingness of our 550,000-strong alumni network to volunteer and support Manchester’s mission. Your work will include volunteer management, event delivery, communications, and overseas travel. You’ll manage relationships with an extensive network of international volunteers, coordinate alumni programmes that support international applicants, foster a culture of philanthropy, and provide career guidance to students and recent graduates. Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with teams such as Global Philanthropy, International Student Recruitment, Careers Service, and our International Centres in Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
What You’ll Do
- Create high-quality engagement (through communications and events) with alumni communities in strategically important territories, building warmth and willingness to support.
- Coordinate large-scale corporate events and strategic volunteer programmes overseas.
- Mobilise alumni to actively support University philanthropy and volunteering through tailored strategic programming.
