Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead our team of Mechanical technicians and manual staff, as well as manage contract labor.

We are looking for a candidate that can:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the engineering team, ensuring effective maintenance and improvement of building services.

• Manage both in-house staff and contract labor, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.

• Oversee the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and inventory levels.

• Collaborate with other departments to align engineering efforts with organizational goals.

• Report on team performance, project progress, and any challenges faced to senior management.

• Appropriate qualifications to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and Ordinary or Higher National Certificate qualifications (or be willing to work towards achieving the ONC/HNC level) in an electrical, mechanical or construction related discipline and having substantial vocational experience.

• An established track record and experience in an engineering discipline

• Strong understanding of building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Experience of working with CAFM for planned and reactive maintenance activities.

• Experience of electronic finance systems
