Overview

Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Management Science (Teaching & Scholarship) within the Management Sciences & Marketing Division at Alliance Manchester Business School. This appointment is specifically in Business Analytics & Decision Sciences, and candidates must be able to teach in one or more of the following: core analytics (machine learning, statistics, optimisation, decision analysis); programming for business analytics (Python, R); commercial analytics tools and databases (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, SQL/MongoDB); and AI & data-driven decision-making (including generative AI/LLMs and responsible/ethical AI applications).

The role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to curriculum design, and engaging in pedagogical scholarship. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the wider academic community, supported by our strong Faculty and University infrastructure for teaching innovation and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in pedagogical scholarship and teaching innovation.
  • Participate in the wider academic community within the Faculty and University infrastructure for teaching development.
