The Global Development Institute (GDI) is seeking a new lecturer in development economics to enhance its research and teaching in this vital area of global development. This position aims to strengthen GDIโ€™s capacity in development economics. We welcome applications from qualified candidates across all areas of development economics, including those who can expand our expertise into new directions such as health, urban development, or consolidate our existing strengths in poverty, economic growth, development finance, trade, the environment, or public policy. Applicants must hold a PhD in economics or a related discipline, demonstrate a strong publication record in development economics, and be capable of delivering excellent teaching at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates should possess strong quantitative skills and be willing to collaborate across disciplines in an interdisciplinary environment. We encourage applications from outstanding candidates who can contribute significantly to research and research-informed teaching.
