The predicted salary is between 28800 - 42000 £ per year.

The Central Digital Learning (CDL) Team is part of the Education Development Team within the Division of Student and Academic Services. The CDL Team offers advice and support to academic and professional services colleagues in the design, creation and delivery of digital learning resources. The focus for the CDL team is primarily on those parts of the University that do not have direct access to other sources of digital learning support.

The CDL Team also co-ordinates University-wide digital learning activities in collaboration with digital learning teams within the Faculties and other business areas. These activities include the management of teaching and learning software, production of training materials and the continuous improvement of our software ecosystem.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • Work under the direction of the Head of Digital Learning to support the design and delivery of high quality and effective online and blended learning and assessment that enhance education provision.
  • Manage and deliver programme planning, instructional design and content development service with the aim of ensuring the delivery of a very high quality blended and online student-focused educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to clarify and convey potentially complex concepts or issues, including providing verbal reports to line management, programme teams and working groups (as appropriate).
  • Work collaboratively with academic staff, IT Services staff and others who deliver and support teaching, learning and assessment in support of the University’s wider strategic aims to incorporate Digital Learning into its programmes of study.
  • The post holder may be expected to provide line management for designated members of the Central Digital Learning team.
  • Proactively promote the use of educational technology and manage projects that enhance the student experience, anticipating demand and prioritising work in conjunction with other team members.
