We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Conference Sales Consultant to join our Conferences and Venues Sales Team. If you are a passionate conference and events professional looking for the next step in your career – this could be the job for you!
As our Conference Sales Consultant, you will join a highly supportive team who receive, handle and convert meeting, conference, wedding and event enquiries. You will be responsible for securing business across an extensive portfolio which includes dedicated year-round conference centres, cultural venues and large scale campus facilities.
You will focus on:
- Responding to enquiries from a wide range of clients, including academic and internal colleagues, training organisations, corporates, agencies and associations
- Understanding and discussing client requirements and preparing detailed proposals and quotes
- Arranging and conducting site visits, showcasing our venues.
- Maintaining clear and accurate sales tracking information
- Up-selling the University’s facilities and services
About you:
As a Sales Consultant, you will have the following:
- A qualification in a hospitality related subject, or professional qualifications (s) combined with demonstratable professional skill and/or knowledge gained through relevant industry experience
- Experience in a diverse environment providing conference or sales services on a similar scope and scale
- Evidence of readily accepting individual accountability and effective use of initiative
- Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
