Overview
The University of Manchester is one of the UK’s largest single-campus universities, offering a dynamic and exciting environment in which to work and develop. Media Services is the University’s central provider of media and audio-visual (AV) support, including campus-wide AV support, technical delivery for live events, professional video production, graphic design, and specialist print services. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to develop a career in the professional AV industry. As an Audio-Visual Support Technician, you will join a busy, supportive team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies and services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver AV support across campus, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and first-line fault diagnosis.
- Support a variety of live events, ensuring high-quality technical delivery.
- Work with technologies such as microphone/PA systems, large-format displays, interactive technologies, control systems, signal routing, camera systems, and video streaming.
