The Twilight Veterinary Nurse post is based in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the Leahurst Campus near Neston, Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to join the nursing team in our busy state‑of‑the‑art hospital. The nurse will work predominantly between patient care areas of the hospital, including ICU and theatre, working alongside the veterinary clinical staff and nursing teams to provide nursing assistance. You will be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing skills: this will include routine patient care, assisting in emergency and critical care, surgical nursing, anaesthetics and assisting the clinical services with the care of their patients to ensure the service is optimally functional.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing assistance to veterinary clinical staff across patient care areas.
  • Assist in emergency and critical care including ICU and theatre.
  • Support surgical nursing and anaesthetics procedures.
  • Assist clinical services with patient care to ensure optimal service function.
