We are seeking a dedicated and skilled TEL Technician to support the use of Technology Enhanced Learning across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and CPD programmes. The role involves maintaining and preparing teaching and assessment spaces and equipment, supporting specialist technologies and providing training and resources to staff and students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑level service supporting the use of TEL across a range of programmes.
  • Ensure optimal organisation, maintenance and preparation of teaching/assessment spaces and equipment.
  • Use and support specialist technologies, including VLEs.
  • Assist staff and students with training and the creation of resources, training materials and SOPs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver effective technical support.
  • Complete the role on a full‑time basis (35 hours per week) and on a fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2027.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisation, time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a technical role that includes development of SOPs, user guides and training materials.
  • Education to BTEC Higher Level (or equivalent).
