We are currently looking to expand our bank of Visiting Lecturers to join our academic team in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and London campuses. Reporting to our Academic Manager, you will provide tuition across the University of Law Business School course portfolio. You will deliver postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses to the best possible standard and support the design of new modules and programmes. You will enjoy being challenged by students and course content, adapting to different learning styles and methods of delivery, sharing expertise, marking in-course assignments and final assessments, and supporting students through queries.
Please note: The hourly rate for this role is up to £71.39 per hour for teaching, inclusive of preparation, marking and responding to student queries. Design work has a separate daily rate.
Responsibilities- Teach and assess across the University of Law Business School course portfolio in subjects as assigned.
- Deliver written and presentation skills, providing individual feedback on student performance.
- Assist in the design of new modules and programmes.
- Master’s degree in business/management subjects offered in the Business School, or professional qualification (qualified accountant or CFA).
- Experience teaching in Higher Education and working in an educational establishment.
- Organised and able to prioritise workload.
- Excellent knowledge of academic theory and/or business practice in relevant discipline.
- Confident, articulate presentation skills.
- Flexible and responsive to changing priorities in a busy environment.
- Punctual, good time management and prioritisation of workload.
- Flexible working hours to meet contract demands.
- Willing to engage in building awareness of the Business School.
- Ability to work independently for short periods and as part of a team, recognising when advice/input is needed.
