This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based at our London Moorgate Campus. We are looking for a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with practical dispute resolution experience to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Dispute Resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and provide a high standard of tuition across the BPC.
  • Support the design and administration of the Higher Rights of Audience assessment.
  • Invigilate and mark assessments and examinations, including practical assessments.
  • Update programmes to reflect developments in teaching and delivery practices, including online and blended programmes.
  • Participate in student recruitment and business development activities as required.

Key Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with substantial practice/chamber experience.
  • Practical dispute resolution experience, including experience as a Higher Courts advocate.
  • Experience delivering advocacy training and vocational or professional training to qualified lawyers on CPD programmes.
  • High level of enthusiasm, motivation, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally to deliver courses and attend events at venues outside the campus.

Lecturer Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
  • Completion of required teaching programme within 12 months of passing probation.

Senior Lecturer Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
  • Relevant teaching qualification.
