Library Learning Advisor – Fixed Term Position
The University of Law invites you to apply for the Library Learning Advisor role. This is a fixed‑term position supporting the Library & Learning Skills service from the end of 2023 until the end of May 2026. You will work full‑time from our London campuses (Bloomsbury and Moorgate) on a flexible schedule that must include Saturday. The role is 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality customer service to students and staff, in person and online, including enquiries, chat service, and 1‑to‑1 appointments.
- Assess and respond to students’ individual skill needs, triaging or referring to learning resources and other experts as necessary.
- Deliver skills workshops and webinars that advance information literacy, digital, and academic skills.
- Maintain the library print collection and monitor the library environment.
- Work on a project related to our online presence and reading lists.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience directly supporting students in an academic library setting.
- Strong digital literacy, including use of Microsoft Office, library systems, Discovery tools, and databases.
- Demonstrable customer care experience.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision, with excellent attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage frequent interruptions while concentrating on diverse tasks.
- Polite, helpful, and positive attitude.
