We are looking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with experience in Canadian Law to join the Academic Law Team at the London, Bloomsbury campus. The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and we are open to considering part-time candidates at a minimum commitment of 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week). This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of legal professionals, whether you are moving from practice or already working in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning, collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching and student support, assess student work, and provide formative and summative feedback.
  • Identify the need for developing content, structure, and assessments within modules and propose how this should be achieved.
  • Contribute to the design and review of inclusive learning and maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
  • Act as a module lecturer, academic coach, and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Qualifications and Requirements

Lecturer

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE

Senior Lecturer

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
  • PgCHE or equivalent

Benefits

Salary range: £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers and £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers (with a £4,300 London weighting allowance for London-based roles). Benefits include 35 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a rewards package including:
