As part of our growing organization, ULaw is recruiting multiple Lecturers and Senior Lecturers for our Academic Law and Vocational teams across our campuses. The role involves shaping the future of legal education and supporting students through teaching and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching and support for learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support, while assessing student work and progress through the preparation and marking of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback and feed‑forward.
- Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
- Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning, maintaining quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
- Act as a module lecturer, academic coach and sign‑post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.
Requirements – Lecturer Positions
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work toward one.
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work toward PGCHE.
Requirements – Senior Lecturer Positions
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
- PgCHE or equivalent.
Benefits
- Competitive salaries: £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers and £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers (plus £4,300 London weighting allowance for London‑based roles).
- Generous annual leave of 35 days plus Bank Holidays, and a rewards package including private medical scheme and life assurance, contributory pension scheme, training and qualification sponsorship, season ticket loans and student discounts.
