This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based at our London Moorgate Campus. We are looking for a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with practical dispute resolution experience to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Dispute Resolution.
Responsibilities
- Teach and provide a high standard of tuition across the BPC.
- Support the design and administration of the Higher Rights of Audience assessment.
- Invigilate and mark assessments and examinations, including practical assessments.
- Update programmes to reflect developments in teaching and delivery practices, including online and blended programmes.
- Participate in student recruitment and business development activities as required.
Key Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with substantial practice/chamber experience.
- Practical dispute resolution experience, including experience as a Higher Courts advocate.
- Experience delivering advocacy training and vocational or professional training to qualified lawyers on CPD programmes.
- High level of enthusiasm, motivation, excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to travel nationally to deliver courses and attend events at venues outside the campus.
Lecturer Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
- Completion of required teaching programme within 12 months of passing probation.
Senior Lecturer Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
- Relevant teaching qualification.
