Overview

As a Student Information Officer, you will be playing a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, both internal and external. You will be the first point of contact for students and will assist in accessing specialist services required throughout their on-course journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and support on a range of enquiries including those relating to new students transitioning to the campus and/or a new course, and all enquiries throughout the student journey.
  • Work in collaboration with the University’s Student Immigration Compliance & Advice team to support international students.
  • Understand other services available to students and how they can be accessed in order to effectively signpost and enable the best possible experience for each individual student.
  • Resolve all queries and requests in an efficient manner in accordance with established service levels, referring on to and liaising with relevant specialist teams where required within agreed processes.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the provision of high-quality customer service support and advice to students, staff and visitors
  • The ability to manage own time effectively to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
  • Experience of providing information, advice and guidance to individuals on a one-to-one basis
  • Able to communicate effectively orally, and in writing and with a wide range of people.
