The University of Huddersfield is seeking to recruit a Senior Facilities Manager to join its Directorate of Estates and Facilities. The Estates and Facilities Services are instrumental in ensuring facilities offered by the University of Huddersfield to students, staff, and visitors are first class.

The Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for the delivery of responsive, professional, cost-effective, and efficient services. This includes all Campus Facilities Services including Security, Campus Support, Cleaning, Gardens and Grounds Maintenance, Post, and associated contracts such as Car Parking Management, Security and Waste etc.

The role involves leading and managing the Facilities Services, ensuring the highest professional standards, whilst overseeing the day-to-day operational teams and related outsourced contracts. It will be key to develop and implement service plans and improvement initiatives to support the University’s strategic plan and ensure effective security processes and delivery mechanisms are in place. The role will report to the Assistant Director of Estates and Facilities and maintaining effective communications will be crucial, as is managing budgets, identifying cost risks and efficiencies, and ensuring best value standards.
