Join to apply for the Innovation Project Manager (KTP Associate) role at The University of Huddersfield.
The University of Huddersfield and Bluebell Children's Hospice is seeking a marketing and fundraising Innovation Project Manager to lead the delivery of a critical, innovative UK-funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to drive knowledge-based innovation in marketing and fundraising in the children's hospice sector.
The Organisation: At Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, we support babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources; the rest must be raised through fundraising activity. Our uncompromising support services are wide-ranging and bespoke to each family and include overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, end-of-life care and home visits. We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.
The Role: The University is working with Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice on developing and implementing an innovative marketing and fundraising framework. This will drive the charity's transformation to a knowledge leader in marketing and fundraising in the children's hospice sector. Every year, more children and families need the support of a children's hospice, and this KTP will enable the change required to integrate and innovate in effective and efficient sustainable development in this vital area of hospice management. You will act as the key link between the two organisations, delivering the KTP project workplan and leading the project. Ultimately, you will lead the creation of an integrated marketing and income generation strategy to allow Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice to innovate for continuous, sustainable income growth in an increasingly challenging environment.
The Person: With an Undergraduate degree, MBA, or Masters in Marketing (or a related discipline), you will be an innovative creative person possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders. You will have experience in managing and delivering marketing-related business plans and/or projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
