We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner. This post will operate within a recently centralised service function to enable the expansion of the finance business partnering service to the internal departments as well as Schools. You will play a key role, working closely with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and Managers, assisting with the provision of financial information and advice.
You will be involved in annual budget planning and forecasting, holding regular budget review meetings, and understanding and explaining financial information to stakeholders. You will provide financial insight that will help drive forward the University's strategy. You will manage a small team of Assistant Finance Business Partners and work closely with wider financial services colleagues to develop and implement efficient and effective financial systems and processes.
We are looking for a qualified accountant who wants to go beyond the numbers and support budget holders by offering practical and commercial advice. You will have experience of working in partnership with different areas of a large and/or complex organisation, excellent communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills. Alongside strong technical and organisational skills, you will have a high level of IT skills and champion a “digital first” approach in all aspects of business operations.
