The University of Huddersfield is seeking to recruit a Facilities Manager – Security and Campus Services to join its Directorate of Estates and Facilities. The Estates and Facilities Services are instrumental in ensuring facilities offered by the University of Huddersfield to students, staff, and visitors are first class. The University of Huddersfield is made up of a diverse community of almost 20,000 people from all walks of life. The Facilities Manager – Security and Campus Services will support the Senior Facilities Manager in providing a customer-focused, compliant, responsive, and professional Security and Campus Support Service. This includes managing delivery of Campus Support and Facilities services, the University appointed Security & Electronic Security Contractors, and working with the Safer Student Police Officer in all matters relating to the day-to-day delivery of security and support services on campus.
This key role involves leading and managing the Assistant Facilities Managers and Campus Services teams, ensuring the highest professional standards, whilst overseeing the day-to-day operational teams and related outsourced contracts. It will develop and implement service plans and improvement initiatives to support the University’s strategic plan and ensure effective security processes and delivery mechanisms are in place.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with significant experience in leading diverse teams, external contracts, and providing expert security advice. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the security industry, proven management experience within security and FM services, and excellent communication, influencing, and engagement skills. A proactive, forward-thinking attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional services are essential.
