Responsibilities
We are seeking a Digital Skills Trainer to enhance digital literacy among students, staff, and researchers. Reporting to the Digital Skills Manager, the role involves identifying training needs, designing and delivering a range of accessible learning resources, and evaluating their impact across the University community. Core responsibilities include developing and delivering training on Microsoft 365 applications and other relevant software, creating up-to-date guidance, and representing the Digital Skills team at engagement events. The postholder may also oversee externally validated qualifications and contribute to planning through thorough recording and reporting of training activities.
Qualifications
You should hold a degree or equivalent experience, ideally with a recognised teaching qualification or comparable professional background in a similar role, together with a proven track record of delivering IT training, particularly in Microsoft 365, within Higher or Further Education.
Essential skills
Excellent communication and presentation, the ability to adopt new technologies, strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, and experience in creating inclusive, accessible digital content. You will be organised, able to work to tight deadlines, committed to customer service and equality, diversity and inclusion, and aligned with the University strategy and values.
