The prospective post holder must be a current student at the University of Edinburgh and residing in the UK. Must be a UoE student for the duration of the post and eligible to work [15hrs] p/w alongside studies.

We are looking for a current University of Edinburgh student with a strong enthusiasm for making and exploring new technologies. You should have demonstrable expertise in at least two relevant service areas (digital manufacture, electronics, programming, 3D digitisation, 3D modelling, multimedia), excellent general IT skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and accessibly. You should also be organised, proactive, adaptable and confident working with a wide range of users.
Responsibilities: In this role, you will provide practical support in at least two uCreate service areas, deliver engaging training sessions, help maintain equipment and contribute to the welcoming, collaborative day‑to‑day running of the makerspace. You will support users with different levels of experience and help them use equipment safely, confidently and effectively.
