We seek a highly motivated, thoughtful, and collaborative individual with experience in facilitating change management and organizational improvement. The candidate should have an interest in service design as a tool for fostering learning and a desire to help others make positive changes through completing the second phase of our KTP project in partnership with Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) and its network of bureaux.

Job Description:

  • Operate as a facilitator, convenor, and design ambassador, using design practices to develop a culture of organizational learning and continuous improvement across the CAS network.
  • Support the co-development of a bespoke CAB network manual, the 'operational improvement design manual', in partnership with various CABs across Scotland.
  • Highlight and celebrate community-based empowerment and social design principles involving inclusion and participation.
  • Work within CAS under supervision from academic leads at the University of Edinburgh and the Perth CAB leadership team.
  • Engage with a range of CABs across Scotland, with opportunities for site visits and travel reimbursements.

Your Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • A relevant design qualification demonstrating ability in multi-media service design and communication; backgrounds in Service, Product, or Graphic Design encouraged.
  • Experience in design research methods and participatory design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, or equivalents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reports, articles, and presentations.
  • Good project management skills and ability to work independently within challenging timelines.
  • Familiarity with No-Code development practices, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is advantageous.

Normal work location will be Perth CAB, with remote working flexibility. Regular in-person visits and meetings will be required, with travel costs reimbursed.
