The Opportunity: We are looking for a Teaching Fellow to deliver and assess courses on the on‑campus Masters in Public Health. This is a fixed-term contract advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). The post holder will be expected to spend at least 3 full days a week at the Usher Building. The Teaching Fellow will sit within Edinburgh Medical School, but day‑to‑day the post will be directed by the Programme Director.
Responsibilities:
- Course Organiser and Course Tutor for selected courses (including preparation and delivery of content and marking of assignments);
- supervision and assessment of dissertation students on the MPH programme;
- student support;
- contribution to the academic administration of the programme and assistance in course and programme development.
Applicants must have:
- A higher degree and teaching experience in Higher Education in a programme‑related discipline.
- Subject knowledge in core programme‑related areas to provide specialised and generalist input across the MPH curriculum.
- Demonstrable on‑campus teaching experience in a relevant subject at Master’s level, and experience of supervising Master’s Dissertation students.
- Experience in using virtual learning environment such as Blackboard Learn, and digital communication tools is desirable.
