The Opportunity
We are seeking a Facilities Weekend Assistant to join the Information Services Facilities team. The role supports operations across the Main Library, Staff Hub, and other study space hubs within the University. You will play an important role in ensuring that study and learning environments are safe, welcoming, well‑maintained, and conducive to academic success. Your key responsibilities include:
- Responding to issues promptly
- Supporting staff and visitors
- Helping create an environment where students can study, collaborate, and access services effectively
The position is student‑experience focused and is part of a wider team, reporting directly to the Facilities Weekend Supervisor.

This post is part‑time (9 hours per week). The role is not suitable for hybrid working and will be 100% on‑campus (in Edinburgh).
