The predicted salary is between 41064 - 48822 £ per year.

Department: Information Services Group (ISG) – Learning, Teaching and Web (LTW) – Digital Learning Applications and Media (DLAM).

Contract: Fixed‑term 12 months; full‑time 35 hours per week with options for part‑time, flexible or hybrid working.

Position Overview

We are seeking an e‑learning developer to support teaching and learning in a leading academic environment.

The role involves identifying, understanding, and prioritising user requirements, estimating development timelines, and managing projects from planning to delivery.

A solid grasp of accessibility, equality, and GDPR requirements is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, understand, and prioritise user requirements.
  • Estimate the development time needed for identified requirements.
  • Manage development projects from planning through to completion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience writing web applications with PHP 8+ or Next. js.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with automated testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with users to collect and prioritise requirements.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload for projects with competing deadlines.
