Grade AMN2: £50,341‑£74,591 per annum, pro rata if part time

Edinburgh Medical School (Medical Education) / CMVM

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Fixed Term: for up to 3 years

The Opportunity

This post is full-time (40 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. This PhD in Clinical Education opportunity is open to doctors in training, who will have the opportunity to undertake an out of programme period of research based between the Edinburgh Medical School and NHS Fife. The successful candidate will conduct a research project looking at developing an understanding of professional identity formation in former healthcare professionals studying medicine.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • GMC registration and completion of training to ST3 level or above
  • Approval from training programme director for out of programme research experience
  • Experience of teaching, particularly undergraduate
  • Excellent team working, communication and organisational skills
