We are looking for a motivated and caring Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality patient care, supporting the management of long‑term conditions, and promoting overall patient wellbeing.
This is a part‑time role (16 hours per week) with a flexible working pattern, and we are happy to accommodate school‑hour working where needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessments, treatments, and follow‑up care
- Undertake routine nursing duties including:
- Chronic disease management (Asthma and Diabetes)
- Immunisations and vaccinations – Adult and children
- Travel health advice and risk assessment
- Cervical screening
- Wound care and dressings
- ECGs and phlebotomy
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current and valid registration
- Sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to primary care
- Previous experience in a practice or clinical setting is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A compassionate, professional approach with a strong commitment to confidentiality
